final follow up for now
Hippy, i should have mentioned, Advanced System Agent has been renamed "Maxus", so that is what to look for at that link if you are interested.
only a beta though, and my 2.77 registration didnt work when i tried the beta *sigh*

I was previously trying to talk one or two of the skinning scenes programmers, who I'm more friendly with, into making a skinnable online timer. At one point It was as a plugin for HvD, but I'd like to get my hands on one for LS now.
Actually, I'm thinking in LS, it might be possible to do that with label.dll. Any 'steppers out there that know if it can be done?

hippy, have you tried OnlineEye?
i have never used LS, but since this program places its into onto the title bar of the active window, i am guessing it stands a good chance of working under LS.
failing that, how "programmable" is LS?
the way these programs seem to work is they check for "i am online" once a second. as long as this is true, up the time count by one. that is why if the prog isnt running when you connect, the time online isnt correct.
so IF you can count seconds and display the count using your label.dll, you just need a way to check your online status.
for modem users a registry key is supposed to be created when you go online, so all you need to do is check for its existance once a second.
of course, be VERY careful playing with your registry.
where is Jafo, the LS master? perhaps a spelling mystakke or twwo will bring him out so we can ask himm?
